Alvin Vodie A V Matlock Jr

Alvin Vodie "A.V." Matlock Jr., age 93, of Camden, TN passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at his residence. Mr. Matlock was born on December 7, 1932, in Eagle Creek, TN to the late Alvin Vodie Matlock and Nettie Goodman Matlock. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Jean Pierce Matlock; his second wife, Juanita Lockhart Matlock; and sisters, Virginia Floyd and Mary Sue Ashby. Mr. Matlock was a member of Chalk Level Baptist Church where he was a Deacon for many years. He retired from TDOT as a Surveyor and he was a member of Mt. Carmel Masonic Lodge #333.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 11:00-1:00 PM at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home in Camden, TN.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 1 PM at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roger Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Camden City Cemetery. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of A.V., please visit our floral store.
