Alvin Morgan Obituary
Born in 1950 to parents, Josie "Jo" and Harry Morgan, Alvin spent his childhood in Grand Junction, Colorado, where he first developed his lifelong love of the outdoors, which he shared with countless others.
His loved ones will remember him as a man of few words with a big heart. Alvin always considered his greatest achievement the care he showed his wife, children, and family home. He leaves behind a legacy of wisdom, love, and laughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Karen
Mullins Morgan; children Victoria (Seth) Huckaba, Elizabeth Morgan, David Morgan, & Chelsie (William) Bullock; grandchildren Kaleb & Evan Huckaba, Gaby, Aleta & Levi Bullock, and brother, Dr. Jim Morgan.
A memorial celebration will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 22nd, at Biblical Lifestyle Center, 907 County Road 2311, Texarkana, TX, with Rev. Bill Bullock officiating under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Hope.
Burial with family and friends will immediately follow at Rondo Cemetery, McClure Rd, Texarkana, AR 71854, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Hope.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you check the air in your tires, the belts and the spark plug wires – just as he would have for his children. Donations in his name can be made to Biblical Lifestyle Center.

A recurring memory of mine after moving back to Texarkana in 1969 was David Parsons and I going by Alvin´s house and getting Alvin up on Sunday morning to go to Sunday School and church services at Central Christian Church:)!

I remember Alvin once saying, "so what., if that is what makes him/her happy then what difference does it make". Alvin knew early in his life what was important and what wasn´t. He will be missed... special guy!

I met Alvin at Texas High School at a time when we were all figuring out who we were going to be. He was a major influence in my growth with his humor and insight. He did not like math so when he was forced to take geometry, he asked to drop the class and take an incomplete grade. The administration refused so Alvin announced he would sit quietly and read J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. It made me feel better seeing him in the front row defying authority quietly that semester!
