Alvin Smith, 88, died Monday, October 7, 2019, at his residence in Weslaco.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Smith and Myrtle Braly Smith; and his siblings, Mildred "Millie" Hudgens, Ralph Smith and Billy Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Carla Shelton of Orange, Kelly Smith (Libby) of Weslaco, and Suzanne Reed (James) of Orangefield; his grandchildren, James Shelton (Carolina) of Rebecca Knott, T. J, Chance Reed (Chelsea), Melissa Trim (Josh), Patrick, Mary, Zachary and Kathleen Smith; his siblings, Leo Smith (Viola) of Lindale, Aleene Lewis (Jerry) of Van and Elouise Clower (John) of Grand Saline; his daughter-in-law Libby; and his sister-in-law Nellie. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
