Alvin Ray Sweet of Watauga, Texas, passed away on April 29, 2025, at the age of 17.
Born on March 26, 2008, in North Richland Hills, Texas, Alvin was the beloved son of Kathleen Vicky Thongvilay and Alvin Lee Sweet. His life, though brief, was filled with vibrant energy and a passion for creativity and adventure.
Alvin enjoyed the game of basketball and was happy to join his friends on the court if they needed someone on their team. He also loved gaming and exploring new virtual worlds. Whether it was playing on his own or hopping online with his friends, gaming was always a huge source of joy for him.
A true enthusiast of the outdoors, he was always excited to go hiking or travel to new places. His artistic talents were evident in everything he created, reflecting a unique perspective and expressive spirit. Whether trying new foods or sharing meals with others, Alvin's love for eating brought people together.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Forest Ridge Funeral Home in North Richland Hills, Texas. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 8, 2025, also at Forest Ridge Funeral Home. Following the service, a graveside ceremony will be held at 12:00 PM at Smithfield Cemetery in North Richland Hills.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Kathleen Thongvilay; father, Alvin Sweet; sisters, Madalyn and Coriana; brother, Kevin; grandmother, Rita Sweet; grandfathers, Alvin Sweet, Khambay Thongvilay; aunts, Regina and Adriana; uncle, Justin; numerous other extended family members and loving friends.
Alvin's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May his spirit continue to inspire creativity and joy in all who remember him.
