Amada Acosta Adame, lovingly, Emma. Born February 6,1928 in Bryan, Texas. She was 96 years old on October 17,2024 when she was carried to heaven to join her husband, Mateo and two sons Mateo and Paul. She also joins all of her brothers, sisters and her lifelong friends. She became a Kern county resident in 1943 when Mateo moved her to California, as he promised her mother Cruz. Shortly thereafter he returned to Texas to relocate Grandma Cruz and mother's siblings to Bakersfield.

Survived by sons Geronimo, Roberto (Sandi), Carmelo (Diane),Michael (Nahayme) and daughters Amada Martinez, Linda Chase (Bodie) and Sonya Monarrez. She also leaves in Jesus' hands, 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Who will always miss and adore her.

Emma expressed her love and joy with her cooking. Making sure everyone was fed and comforted before leaving her table. She leaves us with beautiful memories, delicious recipes and most importantly the truest understanding of love.

Praying for all you Adame´s and those who knew Grandma Emma. She was small but mighty- I loved getting to know her at Kelli´s wedding and she had such humor, resilience, devotion, and bounty of love. Big prayers and love.
