Amanda Amosson, 31, of Dubuque, passed away peacefully February 5, 2026, surrounded by family.

Amanda was born on February 23, 1994, to Randy and Christine (Schmidt) Amosson in Iowa City, IA.

She was born with a rare syndrome which she courageously lived with for 31 years. She moved to Dubuque in 1999 and spent the last 25 years living at Hills and Dales, where she enjoyed making dog treats and spending time with friends.

Amanda graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 2015.

She loved shopping with Mom and listening to music. Family was very important and she cherished spending time with her brother Alec and his wife Staci. Amanda also loved hugs!

She is survived by her parents, Randy and Christine of Tipton, IA; brother, Alec (Staci) Amosson of Dubuque, IA. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rudy (Marion) Amosson and Donald (Lois) Schmidt.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Amanda may do so through memorial gifts to Hills and Dales.

Amanda's family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Hills and Dales, Amanda's second family, and Mercy One Dubuque for their excellent care and support. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.

The Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Funeral Home and Crematory is entrusted with arrangements.
