Amanda Anderson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lakes Funeral Home on Dec. 6, 2025.
Amanda "Mitchie" Anderson, age 36, a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend, passed peacefully at home in Berea, Kentucky, on Friday, December 5, 2025, with her family who adored her by her side.
Born on March 26, 1989, in Goshen, Indiana, Amanda was a bright light from the very beginning. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Dale Cox; grandparents Troy and Christine Anderson; and her special uncle, George Baker Sr.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her devoted mother and caregiver of 36 years, Sandra Snyder, and stepfather, "Father" Bob Snyder; her loving father, "Dad" Darrin Anderson, and stepmother, Sherri; her beloved brother and sister-in-law, Dustin and Teala Anderson; nephew Ethan and niece Annie; and her special grandmother, Janis Riniger. She also leaves behind her precious dog, Amber, whom she lovingly called her "baby." Amanda was deeply loved by her entire family, and she will be missed beyond measure.
Amanda, lovingly known as "Mitchie," was extraordinary in every way. She had a heart of pure gold and a joyful spirit that lit up every room she entered. She adored all her extended family and never hesitated to remind them who her "favorite" was, often teasing them with a smile and a playful, "You're just jealous."
She found joy in the simplest pleasures: Chinese food, Reese's cups, coloring, drawing, crossword puzzles, stickers, reading, and all the little things that make life sweet. She was truly a kid at heart and taught all who knew her what it meant to love big, laugh freely, and appreciate the small moments.
In her final weeks, friends, family, and even friends-of-friends from several states sent her cards and gifts, over seventy in total. Each time the mail arrived, she would rub her hands together, smile, and giggle, "Mail!" She read every single card, every word, and cherished every detail. Her family is deeply grateful for the joy and love that was poured into her in those moments.
One of Amanda's favorite songs was "Jesus Loves Me," especially when she sang it with her dad. Her childlike faith, her gentleness, and her joy are precious reminders of the love of Jesus that she carried so beautifully.
Though our hearts now hold a missing piece, we find comfort in knowing that Amanda is healed, whole, and rejoicing in heaven with Jesus wrapped in perfect love.
Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be at a later date.
