It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of one of our world's BRIGHTEST lights, Amanda Choi, age 45, of Nashville, tragically passed away from complications related to Type 1 Diabetes. Amanda left us far too soon on Thursday morning, November 6, 2025, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born in Beech Grove on July 3, 1980, Amanda lived a life filled with love, creativity, compassion, and empathy. An honor student, she graduated from Brown County High School in 1998 and later studied at Ivy Tech Community College. Amanda went on to start her own residential and commercial cleaning company, taking pride in helping others and making her clients' lives a little easier. Of all her accomplishments, her proudest and greatest joy in life was being a loving mother to her three children - "Tay Tay," "Chancie," and "Bellsie."
A gifted guitarist and singer, Amanda brought music, laughter, and warmth to everyone around her. She cherished time spent with her children, family, and her sisters - her lifelong best friends - with whom she shared what they lovingly called "Sister Time." She also enjoyed mushroom hunting, beach vacations, trying her sisters' latest beauty finds, concerts, dancing, Korean food, and funny movies - just a few of the many things that brought her joy.
Amanda is survived by her children, Taylor (Aaron Wright) Roberts of Bloomington, Chance (Maddie Johnstone) Nichols of Bloomington, and Bella Cooper of Morgantown; her father, Min Hae Choi of Greenwood; her mother, LaVaughn McCain of Nashville; her bonus dad, Carl McCain; and stepmother, Young Soon Choi. She is also survived by her love, Randy Couch; siblings, Kimmie (Chuck "Bear") Harper, Krissy (Tony) Dunn, Chatty (Johnny) White, David "Bubby" (NahYoung Ahn) Choi, Lizabeth Choi, Beck (Robby) Owens, Sarah "Sis" (Josh) Fox; and bonus sister, Candace "Diddy" Voris and many beloved nieces and nephews: Carlie Salisbury; Chas and Christopher Harper; Anthony, Jacob, Brandon, and Jalynne Dunn; Elias White; Noah Choi; Jaiden, Izzie, Mattie, and Nick Ramsey; and Haylee, Lillian, Hagan, and Rigby Fox. She is also survived by her aunt, Judy Stephens, and uncle, David (Jan) Callon.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Jesse Poindexter; maternal grandmother, Martha Grace Hacker; paternal grandmother, Sung Myo Kim; and uncles, Jim, Kenny, and Steve Callon.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Amanda's life during visitation on Saturday, November 15th, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home, Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E.
