Amanda Ellen "Mandy" Dick, 99, of Buhler, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 21, 1926 in Hagerstown, Maryland to Luther and Katie (Eshleman) Grove.
Mandy volunteered at Brook Lane Farm in Hagerstown, where she met Raymond R. Dick during his 1-W service at the farm. They were united in marriage on June 15, 1952 in Hagerstown. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2024, after 72 years of marriage.
Mandy was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed canning, baking, cooking, cleaning and managing the home.
She was a former member of the Hebron Mennonite Church in rural Buhler. Mandy and Ray were always the first members to invite new members to lunch. The church merged in 2000 with Buhler Mennonite Church, where they were current members.
Mandy and Ray were strong supporters of the Mennonite Central Committee, where they were involved with the Mennonite Relief Sale, the Et Cetera Shop, and many other volunteer opportunities.
She is survived by her three sons, Keith Dick of Baldwin City, Gary (Becky) Dick of Baldwin City, and Greg (Beverly) Dick of Lawrence; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mandy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters and four brothers.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Buhler Municipal Cemetery. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m., at Buhler Mennonite Church. The services will be livestreamed at www.youtube.com/c/BuhlerMennoniteChurch. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m., Friday, July 11, at Buhler Mortuary, the family will not be present. Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) in care of Buhler Mortuary, PO Box 589, Buhler, KS 67522.
