Amanda Messman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by The Daleiden Mortuary on Jan. 2, 2024.
Amanda "Mandi" Messman, 33, of Aurora, peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023. She was born May 18, 1990 in Elgin, IL.
Mandi attended and graduated from West Aurora High School where she was a member of the pom squad and dance team. She also took classes at Waubonsee College. She spent time living in Chicago with her best friend Samantha "Sam" where they enjoyed experiencing life in the big city. Mandi's most cherished memories were her time fishing with her maternal grandparents and Christmas Eve gatherings with her family at her paternal grandparent's home every year. She also enjoyed working out at the gym in her spare time. Mandi was a lifelong "I Love Lucy" and "Friends" fan, so much so, that she and her dad Dale, enjoyed many trivia contests together, where she always won "I Love Lucy" contests, but then her dad would turn around and win the "Friends" contests. Mandi's pride and joy was her daughter Amara. She taught her daughter how to garden and that became something very special for them to enjoy together. Mandi will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her parents Vicki and Dale Huberty of Aurora; her daughter Amara; her brother Joshua (Kindel) Huberty of Leander, TX; two nieces and a nephew Kinley, Reagan and Riggs; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; Amara's father Adam White; and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Genevieve and Edward Schambach; her paternal grandparents Violet and Richard Huberty; and her uncle Arvid Miller.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 2:00pm at The Daleiden Mortuary. Rev. T.J. Bigbee will officiate. Interment will be private.
Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10:00am until the funeral hour at 2:00pm at The Daleiden Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for the benefit of Amara. Anyone wishing to make a monetary donation, may do so via the cash envelopes at the funeral home or via a check made to Vicki or Dale that will be held exclusively for Amara's future benefit. You may also talk with her parents for other electronic options.
