Amanda Ostrowski Gilbert, born on August 6, 1986, peacefully passed away on March 16, 2025. Amanda was a cherished individual known for her strong-willed nature and her big heart. She had an unselfish spirit, always putting others before herself, and her love for animals was well-known among those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A proud graduate of Coventry High School, Amanda's zest for life was reflected in her diverse array of interests and hobbies. She enjoyed traveling, embraced the world of Pokémon, thrived on the soccer field, and showcased her talent for couponing as she appeared as a TV celebrity. Fond memories of family Disney trips will forever be treasured by her loved ones.
Amanda is remembered as the devoted wife of Vincent Gilbert and the beloved daughter of Joanne Ostrowski-Burke and James Burke. She also played a significant role in the lives of her step-daughter, Kaylee Justice, and her siblings: Michelle (Eric) Abner and Gary M. Ostrowski. A loving aunt, Amanda delighted in spending time with her nieces and nephews, Logan, Anthony, Audrey, Ava, and the little one on the way.
Although Amanda experienced profound loss in her life, losing her father, Gary W. Ostrowski, as well as her grandparents, Anthony and Virginia Ostrowski, and Henrietta and Richard Phillips, she carried their memories with her, honoring them through the love she shared with her friends and family.
Amanda also held a special place in the heart of her best friend, Raeann Fisher, with whom she shared countless experiences and cherished moments. Amanda was previously married to William Poteete and was a best friend till her passing.
She will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her; her enduring spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those who remember her kindness and love.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
