OBITUARY
Amanda Claire Sikes of St. Clair, MO departed this life in Creve Coeur, MO on Saturday, December 13, 2025, having reached the age of forty-three years, eight months and twenty-six days. Amanda was born in Kirkwood, MO on March 17, 1982, daughter of Thomas Michael Rudloff and Nanette Lea Rudloff nee Akridge. On September 29, 2001 she was united in marriage to Rev. Joseph Ivy Sikes and seven children came to bless this union.
Amanda is survived by her husband, Rev. Joe Sikes of St. Clair, MO; by her children, Maggie Sikes of St. Clair, MO, Samantha Milner and husband, Trey, of Pacific, MO, Josiah Sikes, Katherine Sikes, Jeremiah Sikes, Elizabeth Sikes and Caleb Sikes, all of St. Clair, MO; by her parents-in-law, Larry and Wanda Sikes of Union, MO; by her brother, Charles Rudloff and wife, Savannah, of Knob Noster, MO; by her sisters, Meagan Hays and husband, Patrick, of Lonedell, MO and Erin Kingston and husband, Brian, of Park Hill, MO; by brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Amanda was a Christian and member of First Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO. During her working career she served as a St. Clair City Alderwoman for about six years. She primarily made caring for her home and family her job in life and never tired of it. Amanda was the founder of Franklin County Toy Giveaway and was also in charge of SALT (Support Academic Learning Together), a home-schooling cooperative. She enjoyed working in her garden, canning her produce and caring for her goats, chickens, ducks and rabbits on the farm. Amanda also enjoyed baking, crafting and taking hikes. What meant most to her was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, niece, aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 19, 2025 at First Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO. A private committal will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
