Amanda Rae Smock of Frostproof went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
She was born in Lake Wales on February 20, 1985. Amanda was a daycare teacher/associate for numerous daycare centers. After her daughter was born she was fortunate to be a stay-at-home mother to raise Brooke.
Amanda was a member of New Hope Church of Frostproof where she served on the volunteer team, usually in the nursery. Amanda was a gentle soul whose faith in her Lord and Savior was without question. She was devoted to her family and church, always kind, loving, and compassionate to all she met. Most importantly, she loved Jesus and followed him daily. This precious mother, wife, and daughter will be missed beyond any words that could express her families loss.
Amanda was a woman whose love for her family, unwavering dedication, and warm spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. As a wife and mother, she embodied strength, kindness, and dependability. Her greatest joy as a Christian was being a mother and wife to her family. Her laughter, wisdom, and kind soul will continue to live on in her family. Amanda had an easy way about her that made her someone you could rely on. She loved to travel down the Peace River with family and loved the outdoors. She will be sorely missed but her spirit will always remain with us.
Amanda was preceded in death by her mother, Sheila Chatlos; and her grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Smock, Jr.; daughter, Brooke Diane Smock; father, Raymond Chatlos, Jr.; sister, Stacy Baker; brother, James Kingdon; god-mother, Donna Davis; special sister-in-law, Carrie Albrecht; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life will held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025 at New Hope Church in Frostproof with Pastor Landon McAllister officiating. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com.
