Amaveles (LEE) Sisneros, 81, of Santa Fe, passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord on December 5. 2025. He was born on December 18, 1943, in El Rito, NM., and was the second of 9 children. Owner of Lee's Towing in Santa Fe as well as Lee's Auto Detailing. He was preceded in death by his parents. Rosenaldo and Natividad Sisneros of El Rito, NM.; brother: Jose Albino Sisneros: and sister; Dorothy Overby.
He is survived by his wife. Floraida (Dida) Sisneros, and daughter, Idalee Lopez (Fiancé, Brian Archibeque): his grandchildren: Anastasia Lopez (Bill); Aryana (Willie) Lopez; Dominic (Hope) Lopez; Elias and Ariana Archibeque: great-grandchildren: Presley, Sophia, Willie III, Tiara, Tommy, and Rhyella Lopez; sisters: Bella (Joe) Sanchez, Dolores (Chris) Sanchez, Eva Ledoux; Janet (Joe) Marquez, Maggie Sisneros: Cindy (Leo) Quintana.
At a very young age, he became a father figure to his 7 sisters and provided for his mother. He was a self-made man and despite only having a 9th grade education, Lee started and owned his own business, learned how to paint and do mechanic work on automobiles. These are only a couple of examples of his many talents. He built his own house and transformed a supposedly unusable piece of land into his own little piece of Heaven on earth. Lee did not let anyone tell him that he couldn't do something. Instead, he took it as a personal challenge and proved his detractors wrong. He was immensely proud of what he accomplished in his life. He embodied the saying "Simpre como los hombres". He was a teacher to the men who knew him, a very proud father, husband, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Lee was a favorite uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
