Amber Maldonado Obituary
Amber was a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina and a Peninsula resident since 2007. She graduated from Westover High School and earned a Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She worked as a Special Ed teacher in Moore County, North Carolina, Cumberland County, North Carolina and James City County, Virginia. She enjoyed rescuing animals.
She is survived by her husband Lawrence "Larry" Maldonado, daughter Elizabeth "Lizzie" Maldonado and brothers Emery "Em" Albritton and Robert "Hy" Albritton.
She was a devoted wife and a loving mother to Lizzie Maldonado.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday April 28, 2024 at Amory Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service until 7:00pm.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, May 3, 2024 in Lafayette Memorial Park, 2301 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, North Carolina.
In Lieu of Flowers, contributions may be made to Lizzie's education fund via check made payable to Larry Maldonado P.O. Box 1026, Grafton, Va. 23692 or via Zelle to Larry Maldonado

Larry and Lizzie, I am so sorry to hear this news. Amber will be missed by many. She was such a nice, giving person. We loved it when we were neighbors and Lizzie and Jacie played - hated it when you moved. Prayers for peace and comfort. God Bless!

I only met Amber briefly, but I received many updates of her life! Amber, you were an amazing role model to your students, an outstanding wife, mother & friend to all you met! My heart breaks for your family & friends. Prayers for peace through the pain your loved ones are feeling. Heaven gained a new guardian angel! Love to all!

You were the best mom anyone could ask for. Mom always took care of me and my friends, You were always so sweet to every single one of my friends and would always look out for everyone. I cannot thank you enough for everything that you´ve done for me mommy. i love you.
