Ambra Marchisotto passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Port Jefferson, New York. Born on November 11, 1952 in Thunder Bay, Canada, to Italian parents Ersilia and Gianni Lechich from Istria, she was 72 years old. Ambra was known for her overwhelming love, empathy, and devotion to her family and friends (as well as her fabulous New York style cheesecake!). Her kindness and warmth was felt by everyone she met. Ambra lived in South Setauket, New York, where she built a loving home with her husband of over 50 years, Jerry Marchisotto. They raised four children: Lisa Marchisotto, Paul Marchisotto, Marie Anderson, and Michael Marchisotto. Ambra was a beloved sister to Alex and Roy Lechich and a cherished mother-in-law to Mark Anderson. Ambra took great pride in her career as a Commercial Insurance Underwriter working for Allstate, Merchants Mutual, Chubb, and Liberty Mutual. She earned the prestigious Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1999. Devoted to continued education and knowledge, Ambra also completed her Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University in 2006.Her viewing will be held at Moloney Family Funeral Home in Port Jefferson Station, New York on Thursday, January 16th. Visiting hours will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, January 17th at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Setauket, New York at 10:45 a.m., followed by the burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
