In Loving Memory of Amelia “Molly” Martinez
Molly Martinez, age 87, of Rio Rancho, NM, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 6, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Molly was born on May 16, 1938, to Cruz and Porfiria Martinez. She accepted Christ at a young age and dedicated her life to serving Him. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Molly left behind a legacy of kindness and dedication to her family. She touched the lives of many and brought light and laughter to every room she entered. She was known for her love of music, dancing and listening to “Her Elvis”. She along with her husband found joy traveling with the bands Cuarenta Cinco and Valiente. She was always ready to go dancing. She and her husband traveled to many places including one of her favorites, Las Vegas NV, and even made their way to Graceland.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Louis Martinez; their daughter Sharon and husband Michael Padilla and their son Larry Martinez and Maxine. She is also survived by three Grandchildren, Joseph and wife Micaela Padilla, Jeremy Padilla and Brynne, and Samantha Martinez. Three Great-Grandchildren; Luca and Layla Padilla; Maia Diana. Her siblings; Alfonso and wife Ninfa Martinez, Ramona Johnson, Gloria Platner, Harold Martinez, and many nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: Americo, Frank (Pancho), and Gilbert Martinez.
Services Celebrating Molly’s life will be held at Santa Cruz Holy Cross Catholic Church, in Santa Cruz, NM, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. The Rosary will take place at 10:30 am, with at Mass at 11:00 am, followed by the Burial at Santa Cruz Cemetery.
