Amie S. Giese, 47, of the town of Lomira, passed away on March 4, 2025, at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, with her family at her side.
Amie was born on November 11, 1977, in Appleton, the daughter of Kenneth and Vicki (nee Coon) Kroiss. On September 30, 2005, she was united in marriage to Brian Giese in Oshkosh.
After earning her degree in education from UW Green Bay, Amie went on to obtain her master's degree at Marion College. Her career as a teacher spanned many years, teaching 5th through 8th grade, and culminating in her time at Herman in the Rubicon School District. She found immense joy in her work and took great pride in watching her students develop both as individuals and mathematicians. To her, teaching was not just a job, but a calling—one she would not have traded for anything else.
Beyond the classroom, Amie had a deep love for the great outdoors, especially the cherished moments spent up north at Rib Lake. She delighted in watching her son engage in wrestling and her daughter, who had a knack for befriending every animal she encountered. Amie was very proud of their academic achievements. The simplicity of these moments brought her pure happiness.
Amie also cherished the time spent fishing with her husband, and the exhilaration of snowmobiling and camping with her family and friends added to the tapestry of her life. She also loved partaking in craft weekends with her family. These activities were a source of joy and relaxation, a way to create lasting memories with those she held dear. All in all, her life was a beautiful blend of professional fulfillment and personal joy, enriched by the love and laughter of those around her.
Those Amie leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Brian; two children, Isaiah and Addison Giese; her parents, Kenneth and Vicki Kroiss; two sisters, Alyssa (Paul) Vandenberg and Emily (Ted) Tickler; mother-in-law, Delores Giese; two brothers-in-law, Dennis (Tina) Giese and Dale (Christine) Giese; nieces and nephew, Victoria Vandenberg (William), McKenna Tickler, Scarlett Tickler, Arya Tickler, Samantha Giese, Shawn (Chloe) Giese, Tanner Shrank, Devan (Thomas) Gregerson; her god parents, other relatives and friends.
Amie was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Norman Giese and her nephew, Nicholas Giese.
