Shaffer-Collins Funeral HomeAmmie Lee Williams, affectionately known as Ammie Lee Suttlar Williams, departed this life on October 21, 2025, at the Green House in Yazoo City, Mississippi. Born on February 1, 1946, in Mississippi, Ammie Lee lived a vibrant life filled with passions that brought her joy and connected her with those around her.
Ammie Lee enjoyed a rich tapestry of interests that included a deep love for reading, cooking delicious meals, and spending time fishing. Her fondness for old movies often provided her with cherished moments of nostalgia, and she relished the joy of dance and the warmth of human connection. One of her unique passions was an admiration for the TV show "Walker, Texas Ranger", which showcased her spirited personality and zest for life.
She is survived by her devoted children, including Carolyn Patterson (Clifton), Lynette M. Suttlar, Sandra Suttlar, Allison Bradshaw, and Allen Williams. Ammie Lee also leaves behind her loving siblings: Ann Finley and Shirley Moore, along with her beloved baby brother, Johnny (Grace) Moore. Grandchildren: Marcus Terrell Suttlar, Sr., Clifton Jamaal Suttlar, Brianna Williams, Candace Patterson, Chance Patterson, and Aubrey Williams. Beloved nieces Darlene (Rodney) Talbert, Manlyn (William) Crawford, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Ammie Lee was preceded in death by several family members who held a special place in her heart, including her brothers Hebert Suttlar, Jr. (Annie Frances), Joe Anderson, Henry Lee Moore, and James Moore; her sister Queen Ester Williams; and her sister Rose Mary Rembert. The legacy she leaves behind is one of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the visitation scheduled for November 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Shaffer - Collins Funeral Home, located at 247 West 6th St, Yazoo City, MS 39194.
Ammie Lee Williams will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
