Pastor Amos Rodney Ballenger, husband of Norys Ballenger, son of the late Amos June and Rosa Lee S. Ballenger passed August 20, 2025.
He was a member of Fountain Gate Christian Assembly Church. He graduated from James F. Byrnes High School, class of 1985. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching his Tampa Bay Buccaneers, his Atlanta Braves, his Clemson Tigers and his North Carolina Tar Heels dominate in each of their respective sports! He was a huge Prince fan!
Left to cherish fond and loving memories include his wife Norys of over 37 years; his daughters, Whitney (Tony) Broxton of Greer, SC, Desiree Ballenger and Chasity Ballenger both of Duncan, SC; sons, Terry (Brianna) Johnson and Rodrick Ballenger both of Greer, SC; brother Angelo (Samatha) Ballenger of Greer, SC; 11 grandchildren; his dog Shadow; along with a host of other family and friends.
Along with his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother Ruby Scott.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 26, 2025, 12:00 Noon at Wellford First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Public viewing will take place on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary.
