Amparo Levermann, a beloved soul who graced the world with her warmth and faith, passed away on February 18, 2026, in Bastrop, Texas. Born on December 10, 1965, in Bucaramanga, Colombia, Amparo was not just a cherished daughter, sister, wife, and mother, but she embodied the spirit of love and community in every role she held throughout her life.
Amparo’s life was a beautiful testament to her unwavering faith in God. She faced the challenges of life with grace, always leaning on the word of God as her guiding light. Daily, she offered prayers for her loved ones, hoping they would come closer to Him. She was the firm foundation of her family, instilling strength and reassurance through her words inspired by the Bible. Her profound belief brought comfort and wisdom to all who were lucky enough to know her.
Her love knew no bounds, particularly for her grandchildren, Melanny Barrera, Camilo Barrera, Jeremiah Lara, and Elijah Lara.They were the joy of her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them, nurturing their unique personalities and fostering a bond that will forever be treasured.
Amparo had a remarkable talent for bringing people together. Her home was a sanctuary where everyone felt welcomed; cooking and hosting were her love languages. She was always interested in exploring and sharing different cultures, embracing diversity through food and fellowship. Those who sat at her table experienced not just delicious meals but also the warmth and kindness she so effortlessly spread.
She is survived by her loving husband, Tony Levermann, with whom she shared countless memories and unwavering support. Her daughters, Katherine Salazar and Paula Salazar, along with her sons-in-law, Oscar Barrera and Jesus Lara, her adoptive sons as she would say Kaleb Lange and Jared (Terry) Neal , carry forward her legacy of love, faith, and unity. Amparo also leaves behind her son, Julian Steven, who will honor her memory in all that he does.
Amparo’s siblings, Tilcia Bernal, Alejandro Bernal, and Ernesto Bernal, remember her as the baby of the family, always filling their lives with laughter and joy. Her presence, however, is now accompanied by the loving memory of her parents, Rosa Celis and Enrique Salazar, who welcomed her into eternal rest.
Amparo’s Visitation will be held on February 23, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, located at 2079 Highway 71 East, Bastrop, TX.
Though she has left this earthly realm, the love and lessons she shared will forever be a guiding light to those who loved her. Amparo Levermann was a beacon of faith, love, and kindness, a true embodiment of strength, reflecting the grace of God in every aspect of her life. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Amparo Levermann, un ser querido que honró al mundo con su calidez y fe, falleció el 18 de febrero de 2026 en Bastrop, Texas. Nacida el 10 de diciembre de 1965 en Bucaramanga, Colombia, Amparo no solo fue una querida hija, hermana, esposa y madre, sino que encarnó el espíritu de amor y comunidad en cada rol que desempeñó a lo largo de su vida.
La vida de Amparo fue un hermoso testimonio de su inquebrantable fe en Dios. Enfrentó los desafíos de la vida con gracia, siempre apoyándose en la palabra de Dios como su guía. Diariamente, ofrecía oraciones por sus seres queridos, con la esperanza de que se acercaran a Él. Fue el cimiento firme de su familia, infundiendo fortaleza y consuelo con sus palabras inspiradas en la Biblia. Su profunda fe brindó consuelo y sabiduría a todos los que tuvieron la fortuna de conocerla.
Su amor no tenía límites, especialmente por sus nietos, Melanny Barrera, Camilo Barrera, Jeremiah Lara y Elijah Lara. Eran la alegría de su corazón y atesoraba cada momento que pasaba con ellos, nutriendo sus personalidades únicas y forjando un vínculo que atesoraría por siempre.
Amparo tenía un talento extraordinario para unir a las personas. Su hogar era un santuario donde todos se sentían bienvenidos; cocinar y recibir a sus invitados eran sus lenguajes de amor. Siempre estuvo interesada en explorar y compartir diferentes culturas, abrazando la diversidad a través de la comida y la camaradería. Quienes se sentaban a su mesa disfrutaban no solo de deliciosas comidas, sino también de la calidez y amabilidad que ella transmitía con tanta naturalidad.
Le sobrevive su amado esposo, Tony Levermann, con quien compartió innumerables recuerdos y un apoyo incondicional. Sus hijas, Katherine Salazar y Paula Salazar, junto con sus yernos, Oscar Barrera y Jesús Lara, continúan su legado de amor, fe y unidad. Amparo también deja a su hijo, Julián Steven, quien honrará su memoria en todo lo que haga.
