One Thing for Certain, Two Things for Sure
My dear, sweet, amazing sister, Amy Darlene Bryant, went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2025, in Texarkana, Texas. She will be forever loved and missed by so many. I know she's up there dancing in Heaven, laughing, and holding hands with all our people who went before her. Forever 47 - young, wild, and free at last.
Amy was born August 24, 1978, in Dallas, Texas, to Joyce A. Bryant and Jimmy Lee Bryant. For anyone who knew her, you already know-Amy was just different. In the best kind of way. She loved hard. She fought hard. And this time, she won. She's got her first-place ribbon now.
Amy was beautiful, smart, creative, and full of light. She found joy in music, art, and reading, and she never stopped exploring the world around her - inside and out. "Let's go down the rabbit hole," she'd say, and you knew you were in for an adventure-deep talks, laughter, and maybe a few tears.
She stood up for the underdog, gave when she had little to give, and loved every soul she met along the way. Amy touched countless lives through her kindness and her courage, especially within the recovery community, where she shared her heart and hope with others finding their way.
Amy is survived by her beloved daughter, Jyn Bryant, her sister Brenda Hunt, her niece Mia Luna, and her mother Joyce A. Bryant. Her aunt, Carolyn Long and great aunt Bea(Launa)Curd. She's now reunited with her daddy, Jimmy Lee Bryant, her favorite trucker and forever road partner - and together they're on their last load, rolling through Heaven's highways side by side.
"The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come." - Isaiah 57:1
A celebration of Amy's life will be held this spring, just the way she'd want it - filled with laughter, music, and love.
Amy is free now. Free from all her battles, free to dance, free to laugh, free to shine. And we'll keep loving her - always.
