Amy Cora Cushman

Brattleboro- Amy C. Cushman, 87, of Mountain Home Park, died peacefully Tuesday evening, June 15, 2010 at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Cushman was born in Whitingham on April 2, 1923, the daughter of Jay and Flora (Ware) Plume. She was raised and educated in Readsboro and was a graduate of Whitingham High School, Class of 1941. She had been employed at the Holstein Friesian Association retiring from the company following 42 faithful and dedicated years of service. A woman of strong faith, Mrs. Cushman was a member of the Readsboro Baptist Church. She enjoyed collecting stamps, gardening, attending auctions and flea markets and time spent with her family. She was first married to Donald Cushman and later married Howard Cushman who predeceased her. Survivors include, one son, Alton Cushman of Brattleboro her sister, Gladys Buffum of Kansas, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Helen Sutton. Graveside committal services will be conducted Friday at 3:00 P.M. in Riverview Cemetery in Wilmington. There are no calling hours at the funeral home.
