Amy King Obituary

Publish in a newspaper

Amy Lynne Raper King, age 61, of Madisonville, TN, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on November 29, 2025. Born on March 15, 1964, Amy lived a life marked by deep love, unwavering loyalty, and a servant's heart. She was a woman who showed her care not only through words, but through everyday acts of kindness, hard work, and devotion to the people she cherished most.
Amy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 35 years, Henry Jack King; her father, Glynn Dale Raper; her grandparents, Vestle and Gladys Green, Arthur and Eva Raper, and Lula Mae and Theodore Dunn; her niece, Amanda Elmore; and her special friend, Brenda Rogers.
She leaves behind a family who adored her beyond measure: her daughter and son-in-law, Kayla and Erik Sullivan; her grandsons, Jalen King, Ezra Sullivan, and Jayden Sullivan; and her bonus son, Chris Rogers. She is also survived by her mothers, Jewel Green and Eunice Raper; her siblings, Roger (Sherrie) Raper, Allison (Billy) Shubert, Sandra (Aldon) Blair, and Mary Syrena McCroskey; and many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart, including Wendy (Adam) Ellis, Haley Raper, Heath (Tiffany) Raper, Anthony (Sarah) Raper, Brianna (Jonathan) Camp, and Syaira McCroskey. She also leaves behind her lifelong friends, Sharon and Ronny Jones, who were like family.
Amy was a faithful member of Notchey Creek Baptist Church. She spent many years serving her community as a school bus driver, and later enjoyed hauling boats-an unexpected job she came to love. Above all, she treasured the time she shared with her grandsons, who were truly the light of her life.
She loved reading, found joy in the simple moments, and carried a deep, enduring love for her husband Henry that never wavered. Together, they built a life full of laughter, hard work, and devotion.
Amy's warm spirit, strong faith, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in every life she blessed along the way.
Graveside service & interment 2:00 P.M. Monday, Notchey Creek Cemetery, Rev. Ronny Jones and Rev. Shane Johnston officiating. Arrangements by Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
