I´m so saddened by the news of Mrs. Motta´s passing. I didn´t want to believe it could really be true. As a former student of hers, I have such fond memories of the wonderful times spent in her classroom that still make me smile to look back on. Her easygoing attitude, infectious laugh, brilliant smile, and passion for teaching are some of the many reasons why the art room was one of my favorite places to be throughout my years in high school. She did so much to make her classroom a warm and inclusive place, and she truly cared about making each and every student of hers feel welcome in it. I´ll always continue to express myself through art because of the impression Mrs. Motta left on me, and I´ll forever be immensely grateful for the courage she inspired within me to be my truest, most authentic self. My heartfelt condolences go out to her loved ones, and I´ll be keeping her family and friends in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time for them.

I know Amy as a child for we were neighbors. As a youngster, she was always smiling, very happy and love for arts and crafts. She always included the children in the neighborhood, it seems she did not want to leave anyone out
Ours paths crossed again , her children attended Hobomock Elementary where I was the School Nurse. She was a very caring parent, and I might add maintain that contagious warm smile of her youth.
My heart is saddened to hear of her passing . Gone from this world way too early. Hugs and prayers to her family

Something I will always remember about Ms. Motta is her carefree spirit. She was my art teacher from sophomore year all the way up to graduation, and beyond. She helped us destress, baked us cookies at school and held an Arts-Giving every thanksgiving for us. She made our class into a family and that is something no one can replicate. She was always there for us during the stressful times. Sometimes even sitting with her for 30 minutes during my free period would help me make it through the day. She even personally supplied all of her students art supplies when covid shut down and loved seeing us grow on our art journey. Ms. Motta is the best and most caring person I have ever met and truly touched many lives as an art teacher. I am grateful for being able to meet her and be taught by her as she is a blessing.

First time I layed eyes on this woman I knew she was something special. So full of color I couldn't believe it. She thanked me for befriending her mother Terry, I want to thank the lord for blessing me the opportunity to have met this beautiful angel!
