Anastacio Nick Diaz

Harlingen - Anastacio Nick Diaz entered into eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and love that touched all who knew him.

He was born on June 23, 1965, in San Carlos, Pangasinan, Philippines, to Hero Diaz and Remedios Aquino who preceded him in death. In 1992, Anastacio made the life-changing journey to the United States, where he built a meaningful career and a beautiful life rooted in service to others.

Anastacio was a devoted Physical Therapist who served at various hospitals throughout the Rio Grande Valley, most recently at Valley Baptist Medical Center. He truly loved his profession and was known for his strong work ethic, professionalism, and genuine care for every patient he served.

Mild-mannered, kind, and generous, Anastacio extended help to anyone in need without hesitation. He was a natural mentor and a steady presence of encouragement to colleagues and friends alike. Above all, he was a man who cherished his family deeply, faithfully keeping close ties with his loved ones and regularly calling his sisters. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and friend, whose heart was as big as his compassion.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Jenny Diaz; two sons, Joshua Nicholas Diaz and Justin Nicholas Diaz and three sisters, Luz Diaz Matabang, Rose Diaz and Aureen Diaz.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary prayed at 7:00 PM, and again on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 19, 2026, departing from Rudy Garza Funeral Home at 9:30 AM for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Services will conclude at the church.
