Anastasia "Tasoula" Costopoulos passed away on October 22, 2024, at the age of 89.
Tasoula was born in Driovouno, Greece to George and Despina Zahopoulos. She immigrated to Detroit, Michigan in 1955 with her husband George and their infant daughter Anna. Tasoula was a lifelong member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church where she was active in volunteering as well as the senior citizens group later in life. She had many passions in life which included the church, cooking, gardening, and knitting. Her greatest joy came from her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. There was nothing she wouldn't do for them. She was a constant in their lives and the epitome of faith, selflessness, and love.
Tasoula is survived by her three children and their spouses Anna (Tim) Miller, Andrew (Maria) Costopoulos and Despi (Alex) Markus. Grandchildren Christopher, Brian, Lauren, George Andrew, George Nicholas, Stephen, and her namesake Anastasia. Great grandchildren Sophia, Andrew (Miller), Madeleine, Alex, Henry, Charlie, Andrew (Costopoulos), Alessandra and Elia. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years George as well as her 4 siblings.
May her memory be eternal.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 10-11am at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 760 W. Wattles Rd. Troy, MI 48098. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11am.
