Anastasia "Stacy" Yong Ah Lee, 81, entered into eternal life on November 4, 2025 from her home in Fremont, California.
Yong Ah Kim was born on March 4, 1944 and was raised in Korea. After high school, she attended nursing school in Germany. A few years later, she met her then future husband, Peter Sung Jae Lee and was married in 1968. Stacy worked as a nurse and Peter as an engineer in Germany until 1973 when Peter's work brought them to the United States, where they eventually settled in Southern California and raised their three sons. After finishing her nursing career, Stacy owned a dry-cleaning business where she worked until her retirement in 1999. A few years later, Stacy and Peter moved to Northern California to be close to their three adult sons and eventual eight grandsons.
Stacy was a faithful servant of God her entire life. She was an active member and volunteer at St. Andrew Kim Catholic Church in Oakland and more recently attended mass regularly at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fremont.
Stacy is survived by her loving husband, Peter; her three sons and their wives - Hanns and Katy, Stephan and Soo, and Andrew and Teresa; and eight grandsons: Tai, Ryan, Jason, Christian, Kane, Kai, Ellis, and Callen. She now joins her parents, Paul and Maria, in Heaven.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 10, 10:00 am at St. Andrew Kim Catholic Church in Oakland. Immediately thereafter, she will be laid to rest at the Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Los Altos, California. Flowers may be sent to the Chapel of the Angels in Fremont, California. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in memory of Yong Ah Lee to St. Andrew Kim Catholic Church in Oakland.
