Anastasios "Ernie" Markakis, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13th at the age of 80. Born in the quaint village of Chryssokelaria, Greece, he embarked on a remarkable journey that led him to the vibrant city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and ultimately to the shores of America.
A man of unwavering dedication and impeccable work ethic, Ernie spent many years as a manufacturing plant manager. Eventually, his passion for culinary arts led him to open his own restaurant, where he delighted patrons with his delectable creations.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Ernie found solace in the simple joys of life. He was an avid gardener, nurturing his garden with love and care. His thirst for knowledge was insatiable, and he was always eager to learn and explore new horizons.
A devoted father, Ernie raised his children, with unwavering love and support. From humble beginnings in a small village, he provided them with the opportunities to build fulfilling lives.
