Anastasios Stithos Obituary

Visit the Whitting Funeral Home website to view the full obituary.
Anastasios Stithos, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on October 30, 2025. Born to George and Anna in Zakynthos, Greece, Anastasios lived a life defined by love, family, hard work, and pride in his heritage.

Anastasios met the love of his life, Magda, in a chance encounter that would change both of their lives forever. She had gone to a restaurant called Deno’s with a friend, and he happened to be their waiter that evening. His humor and charm were unforgettable, and from that moment, a beautiful love story began. Together they built a fulfilled life. They raised three wonderful children—Anna, Vicky, and George.

He was a strong and loving father who always wanted the best for his children and worked hard to ensure they were on the right path. He dedicated himself fully to providing for his family. He made sure his children had stability, comfort and opportunity and he took great pride in seeing them grow into the people they became.

Anastasios had a deep love for life’s simple pleasures. He and Magda loved traveling together, especially to the beach, where they could happily spend the entire day. At home, they tended to their “dueling” vegetable gardens, each proudly comparing their crops. He loved exploring new restaurants, discovering good food, and browsing shops for clothes and little finds that brought him joy.

He carried his Greek heritage in his heart everywhere he went—proud of his culture, his roots, and the values he passed on to his children.

Anastasios will be remembered for his humor, his strength, his devotion to family, and his zest for life. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love and laughter will live on through all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Magda, and their children—Anna, Vicky, and George.
