Obituary of Andre E. Major
Mr. Andre E. Major, 77, of Forestport, NY, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Wynn Hospital in Utica, with his loving family by his side.
Andre was born in Utica, on September 18, 1946, the son of Charles and Emily (Dousharm) Major and received his education in NY Mills schools. Andre proudly service in the US Army. Andre was a fun spirited soul, who cared so deeply for the people around him. He would always express joy when he saw you, and you felt it! He was clever and full of knowledge whether it be passed from previous generations or gained through his own life experiences. Andre's greatest love was time spent outdoors and the competition to outsmart wildlife and nature. His kind heart, charismatic presence and unique way he made you feel special, will always be unforgettable. His great detailed stories are the gift he leaves to each and every one of us. Oh, and a full belly. It would thrill him to cook for others as we praised and savored every bite. In honor of dad's memory, the family requests that you spend time outdoors in nature. Be enlightened by its peace and surprised by its beauty. Andre will forever be honored and missed. Until we meet again.
Mr. Major is survived by three children, Andre C. Major, John and Rachele Major and Rebecca Lynn and Alan Pruitt all of Remsen; Patricia's children, Mary Ann Chrzan, Chuck and Sue Chrzan and Tony and Robin Chrzan; eight cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Brittany, Emily, Jeremiah, Jeweliet, Brygit, Austin and Andrew; eleven adored great grandchildren, Blake, Kayleigh, Rylee, Hunter, Rhett, Hayden, Ava, Ella, Alexander, Cody and Ethan; one sister, Diane Alsante and one brother, Oliver Major both of NY Mills; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and special extended family.
