Andre Evans Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by George Lopes Funeral Home - Mattapan on Mar. 7, 2026.
Andre "Hollywood" Evans was born Andre Evans on October 6, 1961, in Boston, Massachusetts to Lennetta Evans. A true son of the city, Andre grew up rooted in family, friends, culture, music, and community. Boston helped shape his resilience, his pride, and his unmistakable presence - and in return, he left his own mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He was the beloved son of Lennetta Evans and Excell Davison. From them, Andre inherited strength, character, and a deep sense of identity. Family was always central to who he was.

Affectionately known to many as "Dre," Andre carried himself with a quiet confidence and creative spirit. He had a natural eye for detail and a deep love for working behind the scenes producing video shows. ln 1993 Andre started producing his own show called Bean TV. which was aired on the community access television station in Boston. Andre created a very successful show and did a lot of interviews with a lot of artists. He was able to establish relationships with every major and minor label in the US where they provided him music videos interviews and services like concert tickets.

Andre was a very talented entrepreneur and successful in his endeavor for the past 30 years. He became an expert television producer starting off as a cameraman he did his own editing and pretty much was able to run and produces entire show with the help of staff. Andre proudly interviewed several different people on his talk show which was called the Entertainment Update, where he would spotlight, all types of talented people up and coming in politics, business and the music scene. When he wasn't producing television shows he worked at several different restaurants in and around the Boston area as a cook.

Music was another great passion in Andre's life. He appreciated the artistry, rhythm, and creativity that music brings. It was something that inspired him and stayed with him throughout his life.

Andre was a devoted dad to his daughter, Jessica, who was one of the greatest blessings in his life. He loved her deeply and carried a pride for her that could always be felt.

He leaves behind his daughter Jessica, brothers Jason and Lamont,
