Andre Joseph "Skip" Fredette, a proud U.S. Navy veteran and loving family man, passed away on December 12, 2025, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He was 77 years old.
Born on June 17, 1948, in Norwalk, Connecticut, Skip was the son of William and Bertha Fredette. He grew up in a close-knit family of brothers, sisters, and many cousins whom he spent his early years with. After completing his education at Western Connecticut State University, he went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy.
Skip is lovingly remembered by his wife, Nieve Lopez-Fredette; his daughters Michelle Fredette, Nicole Duva and her husband Mike, Suzanne Minskey and her husband Jacob, and Adrienne Fredette. His legacy continues through numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and stepchildren who brought him much pride and joy.
He also leaves behind his brother Dennis Fredette and wife Georgie and sister Diane Fredette and husband Billy, along with several nieces and nephews who cherished their time with him. Skip was predeceased by his first wife Carol Fredette; his brother William Fredette; sister Jaqueline Fredette; and his parents William and Bertha Fredette.
Throughout his life, Skip embraced the roles of husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend with humor and kindness. His presence will be deeply missed by all. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
