May his Memory be Eternal. It is with immense sadness that we announcethe passing of our beloved Andreas Peter Handrinos, who joined theLord in eternal salvation on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the young ageof 38. Andreas was born on June 26, 1985, in Astoria, New York, andhis short life was full and well-traveled. From New York City toFlorida, and back to New York, Oneonta, the Bronx, to finally landback with his family in Durham, North Carolina.
Andreas will join his father, Panagiotis Handrinos and grandparents,Charles (Alvin) Meadows, Anastasios Handrinos, and Eleni Handrinos.
Left to cherish Andreas’ precious memories include his mother, TerriAnna Romberger; stepfather, James Romberger; sister, Maria P Mills andbrother-in-law, Seth R Mills; sister, Eleni Handrinos; brothers,George Romberger and Anastasios Handrinos; and grandmother, JudithWalls. He also leaves behind his niece, Zoe Anne Mills and nephew,Peter Richard Mills, who adored their “Uncle Dre” and spent qualitytime by reading, playing games, and cooking (always cooking). His dearGodparents, Illias and Maria Tomazos, many cousins, aunts, and uncleshere and in Greece are included in those that mourn his passing.
Upon meeting Andreas, or "Dre", as he was known by everyone, you wereimmediately greeted by his piercing blue eyes. He was a kind andgenerous soul, whose absence will leave a permanent void in hissurviving family. His faithful canine, Togo, will be looking for himalways.
