Andreas John Savvides

Andreas "Andy" John Savvides, 69, a resident of Severna Park, MD, and previously of Hollywood, FL, and Roseland, NJ, died at his home on Sunday, February 2, 2025. Born February 4, 1955, in East Orange, NJ, to the late John and Demetra Savvides, he received his bachelor of art degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. Andy was employed in Business and Restaurant Management, most recently working as a manager at Tommy's Food Service and as a poker dealer at Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore, MD. He was a longtime member of Ss. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Annapolis, MD. Andy enjoyed skiing and poker and was an avid sports fan. He is survived by his sons, John Savvides of Severna Park, MD and Simeon Savvides of Hollywood, FL; his siblings, Tommy Savvides of Ocean View, DE, and Lucy (George) Petros of Severna Park, MD and a loving extended family. Friends are invited to celebrate Andy's life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD, on Thursday, February 6 from 4 to 8 pm with a prayer service at 4 pm. Funeral services will be held at Ss. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 2747 Riva Rd., Annapolis, MD, on Friday, February 7 with viewing at 10:30 am followed by his funeral service at 11 am. Interment will follow at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Cemetery in Annapolis.
