ANDRES G. GONZALES
Age 64, passed away suddenly on October 26, 2025. Andres was born to Andres J. Gonzales and Estella Lujan Gonzales on February 4, 1961, in Santa Fe, NM. Andres was preceded in death by his parents, Andres "Andy" Gonzales (2020), and Estella Lujan Gonzales (2002), a special niece Jeannette Rodriguez (2016).
Andres will be remembered for his sharp wit, his kindness, and his unwavering advocacy for his fellow community members, especially those facing hardship or opposition. He had a deep love for flowers and birds, and he looked forward to football season each year, when he could cheer passionately for his beloved Dallas Cowboys.
Andres is survived by his partner of 43 years, Henry Trujillo; his siblings, Rita Gonzalez, Julian Gonzales, Patricio Gonzales, Marina Gonzales, Monica Roybal (Reuben), and Arthur Gonzales (Christine). He is also survived by seventeen nieces and nephews, six great-nieces and nephews, one great-great-nephew, and one great-great-niece. In addition, Andres is survived by his maternal aunt and godmother, Lourdes Tenorio, along with many other beloved relatives and friends.
The family extends deep gratitude to his niece Denise Gonzales who managed Andres' care while he resided in various nursing homes.
