Andrew David Behanna

Andrew David Behanna, 55, of Washington, died Wednesday, December 25, 2024 unexpectedly in his home. He was born November 17, 1969 in Washington, a son of the late Linda Miller. Andrew was a 1987 graduate of Trinity High School before joining the United States Navy. He served as a proud Navy Seal before going to work as a steelworker for Allegheny Technologies Inc. In his free time, Andrew loved watching the Steelers, listening to classic rock such as Guns N' Roses and Motley Crew, spending time with his dogs and grand dogs, riding motorcycles, shooting and admiring guns, but most of all, laughing and spending time with his family. On February 14, 2007 in Washington, he married the love of his life, Amanda Holik, who survives him. Also surviving is a son, Albert Nocki; three daughters, Carley (Sam) Griest of Washington, Kayla (Garitt Woodburn) Behanna of Washington, and Lillyann (Devin) Tennant of Washington; two brothers, Amos Behanna and Joseph (Lisa) Behanna Jr. of Washington; two sisters, Marcia Smith of Washington, and Jody Behanna of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is one sister, Patti Elliott. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m., the hour of the services, Friday, January 3, 2025 in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington. Inurnment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors at a later date.
