Andrew Schoonmaker Bonsal
December 10, 1965 - June 12, 2025
With a grateful heart we celebrate the life of Andrew Schoonmaker
Bonsal. Known as "Sandy" by his family, he was the son of William
Roscoe Bonsal III and Patricia Schoonmaker Bonsal. Andrew grew up in
Southern Pines, North Carolina and spent most of his adult life as a
resident of the Central Savannah River Area of South Carolina and
Georgia.
Andrew was a skilled Master Carpenter, building fine homes and
performing renovations throughout the area as Bonsal Construction. He
enjoyed being the breadwinner for his family and liked staying busy
with projects at work and at home. Andrew's son, Jonathan Bonsal, of
North Augusta, is grateful for prayers and love sent his way. Andrew
will also be missed by his siblings, William R. Bonsal IV and Kate
Almy Bonsal. Former spouses Victoria and Patricia were of great help
to Andrew and Jonathan. Daughters Crystal and Natalie provided love
that helped float Andrew home, and their amazing kids Moya, Vin, and
Sophie sent good thoughts and prayers to their Papa.
We will reach out to friends for a gathering to commit Andrew’s remains soon.
Andrew’s family is grateful for the patience, kindness, and care he
received from PruittHealth Hospice. Every staff member and clinician
treated him as family. We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be
made to the PruittCares Foundation, so they can assist hospice
patients with financial difficulties through the Family Outreach
Crisis Grants Fund. Donate at http://tiny.cc/gb3n001 or send to:
PruittCares Foundation 1626 Jeurgens Court Norcross, GA 30093.
Fairhaven Funeral Home is serving the family.
Thank you,
Kate Bonsal
