WATERFORD - Andrew M. Cavosie, 33, of Hillview Ave., passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Santa Ana, Calif. Born in Niskayuna, he is the son of Michael R. and Jeannine McKenna Cavosie, of Waterford. He received his early education at St. Mary's School in Waterford and was a 2010 graduate of Catholic Central High School, where he was a member of the student government and a member of the JV and Varsity soccer teams.
Andrew enjoyed geology and was pursuing studies in that field. Over the years, he had worked at St. Rose College in Albany and at SUNY Oswego. He was an extremely kind and sensitive person and for many years, fought epilepsy and addictions. He was very fond of cats, especially his feline companion, Gary.
Survivors in addition to his parents, include his sister, Maeghan M. Cavosie; and his brother, Aidan J. Cavosie; both of Waterford. He was predeceased by his sister, Rachael Cavosie. He is the grandson of Robert and Anne Cavosie, Kathleen McKenna of Waterford and the late Robert Brian McKenna. He is the Godson of Tony Huff and Colleen Hartley. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He had maintained a close friendship with his friend, Emma Cole; and cousin, Jenna Hume.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, at 7:00 p.m., at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., Rt. 32, Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., prior to the funeral service.
