Andrew "Drew" Robert Donahue, Jr of Salisbury, Massachusetts went to be with the Lord on August 3rd, 2019, surrounded by his beloved family. The son of Helen (Conte) Donahue and the late Andrew Donahue, Drew is survived by his wife Gloria M. (Turcotte) of 39 years, four children: Andrew of Charlotte, NC, Matthew and wife Andrea of Bedford, MA, Sean and wife Amanda of Framingham, MA, Brooke Lovaasen and husband, John, of Hudson, NH, as well as five grandchildren: Maddox, Margot, Graham, Landon and Braden, sister, Gail Luchini and husband Mark, and sister, Laurie Oteri. He enjoyed his work as a software engineer but his greatest joy was spending time with family, both locally and on Marco Island, FL. He was an organist and choir director at many local churches, most recently at St. Ann Church in West Newbury, MA for the past 10 years.  As a devout Catholic, Drew lived a life of service and always welcomed the opportunity to share his faith with others. An eternal optimist, his passion for life was always evident in his appreciation of what really matters: faith, family and friends, to whom he would often remark, "This is the life!" Relatives and friends are invited to Drew's Life Celebration at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME 327 Hildreth Street on Tuesday from 4 until 8 PM. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Rd. Dracut. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, 5526 West 13400 South, #510 Herriman, UT 84096, or www.cholangiocarcinoma.org

Dear Gloria,

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Drew's passing. I have many fond memories of our time together in the choir at St. Ann's. He truly was an inspiration to so many people. May you and your family find peace and comfort from the prayers being offered for you during this difficult time. He will be sorely missed. My Dad, Chet, also wishes to extend his deepest condolences as he has been where you are with the loss of my Mom. If you need anything do not hesitate to reach out.

Drew was my best friend growing up. For most of our childhood we were always together, playing ball, or just hanging out. I still remember his phone number after 50+ years. We lost touch over the years but he was never out of my thoughts. His legacy will live on through his beautiful family. God bless Drew, you will be missed by many more than you will ever know.

50-odd years ago we grew up across the street from each other - memories of Drew,Gail, Laurie, neighbor Lee and I sledding, building snow forts, riding bikes and hearing the call to come home when the streetlights came on - but most of all i remember Drew practicing piano on a hot summer morning - everyone on the street heard it ! I am so happy to see through the photos what a great life he had -

In the time, I knew Drew both serving with him on the Laurel Woods Board of Trustees and being a neighbor, I am deeply saddened by his passing. He always was warm, friendly and made time to listen and be a problem solver. Reading about his musical talent in being a church organist which he never spoke about expressed what a humble person he was. His presence no longer will be felt with sadness but because he lived his faith it is with my belief he is with Christ. Condolences are sent to his wife, children and granchildren. Sincerely Grace Fortuna
