Andy, I was your broker at Tullets Lon when you were trading Fwd/Dmks at Algemene Bank Ldn, and one of the youngest traders around. I took your line for about a year or so before you moved on. We had some great laughs together both while doing business and in the bars and restaurants of Ldn in the mid to late 80s, really fun times. You were both a funny and likeable and a pleasure to have known. You did keep your middle name quiet though, Clive!, never saw you as a Clive. Sleep tight mate.

Hi Cousin,
I was in Belgium and thought of everyone at home, and apparently was the first one to think of you in my immediate family. They were in Ohio and my brother was supposed to go to the Towers that day, later in the day.
I wrote to Maryann. Agnes and Frank would have been so heartbroken. I know you are with them now and hopefully all of you are laughing up a storm. I hear your little girls got big and beautiful.
My mom saw Nancy a few weeks ago and she is hanging in there as always.
I think of you a lot. As a young teen I thought you and Maryann were so cool and I wanted to have a house with horses just like you guys. We will see.
Love,
Caroline

Andrew, you were an inspiration at school. A kind and generous person and truly brilliant at everything you tried.
As the years pass since 9/11 I remember you with gratitude and a feeling of loss that you passed so young. My thoughts go out to your wonderful parents that had to suffer what must have been unbearable. The loss of two children. X Warwick Hembry.

Our church held a community memorial service and had a glow stick with the name of every person lost on 9/11. I was fortunate to have Andrew's name on mine. We will never forget what happened that day.

Andrew, your mother came to visit Tribute WTC where I volunteer yesterday. I was honored to take her through the galleries. She was there all alone; no one in your family would come with her to our museum across from the WTC site, but we all took good care of her. When I asked her what you and your brother Timothy were like, her face brightened and she said softly, "Oh...they were lovely." A very brave, strong lady. It touched my heart to meet her.

Andy,
I didnt know this site existed. I spoke to you 10 minutes before and I called back 100 times... always praying. Always hoping. I think I've thought of you 5000 times in the past 6 years.
I admired your sense of integrity. Your sense of humor. Your friendship.
I enjoyed work when you were around.
Rest in Peace and may God Bless

To the Family of Andrew C. Gilbert,
That day when I saw the Twin Towers fall down, I was sad. I was at school and my teacher turned on the TV when the World
Trade Center fell.
Both of our fourth grade classes got Mercy B.A.N.D bracelets remembering the victims of 9-11. I got a World Trade Center bracelet. When they came in the mail I opened the box
and there was his name, Andrew C. Gilbert. I know how hard it is to lose someone because I lost my mom when I was eight. Now I am ten years old and it has been one year since
she died.
With love,

I knew Andrew from when I was a nanny in New Jersey. I used to babysit his two little girls on the weekends sometimes. He was a very good father and husband and a funny guy to be around. He is deeply missed, and I think about his family often. You are all in my prayers.

Andrew and Tim's Mum and Dad live just three houses away from my sister in Ipswich, England. Before we knew that no-one at Cantor, Fitzgerald had survived, during those first few awful/hopeful days we, with others, spent many hours searching lists on the internet praying...hoping. We send our love to Andrew and Tim's wives, children, parents and sister.

"Clive"! Your middle name is Clive. Holy crap Shag! You certainly did't look like a Clive. A Geezer maybe, but not a Clive! We miss you pal! It's been tough without you at TradeSpark but because of you, we will continue to move forward. Your help everyday was always top notch, even though you always busted my chops. I hope you realize that all your hard work is paying off for us. For that I say, "Thanks Pal". You'll always be a crazy, limey, GEZZA! Just the way I always remembered. Cheers Shag!

Oh Andrew I can't get you most of all out of all the friends I have lost and there are many out of my head.U always were a fair and funny, in an odd way type of guy. Sitting next to u brokering the day away was a real treat especially when I got the really big orders and u were frantic I was going to mess up! I always will remember u saying to me with that look of confusion on your face "Biggirl are you sure u are ok" and we always were. Rest in peace and my God take care of your family and heal them Your friend, Biggirl

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
