Andrew John Krans, born on May 10, 1962 in Chicago, IL was sent to his eternal home on April 24, 2025 in his home state. He was the beloved son of Elsie and John Krans who passed before him and the loving brother to Michael J. Krans married to Lori Krans. His best friend, Jeff Davis, played an instrumental role in Andrew’s life starting with their college friendship. They were truly the greatest of friends. Andrew was a man of faith attending Saint Francis of Rome Church and was affectionately known as a shining light in the lives of those he touched. His dear friend Ed Popela who passed several years ago was too a great friend. And, Kathy Welgos was also a wonderful friend to Andrew and the Krans family. Andrew graduated from Saint Joseph High School in Westchester, IL and attended the University of Illinois at Chicago Circle. He excelled at retail sales and was a travel agent for many years. His love for animals endeared many dogs and cats that he took into his home and fed in the neighborhood. Special mention goes out to his dog Chi Chi and cats Tiger and Furbie. His journey on this earth was one marked by love and compassion. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
