Andrew Edward Magnus, Jr., 79, of Alford, Florida died Monday, July 14, 2025, at his home. He was born January 15, 1946, into a military family. His parents, Andrew Edward and Pola Magnus, Sr., traveled the world from base to base with their three children. Andrew later joined the Army himself and served his country with pride. He met the love of his life in 1980, and in 1982, he married Teresa. Andrew was a loving husband, dedicated father, cherished grandfather, and great-grandfather. There was never a dull moment when he was in the room as his smile was contagious.
After Vietnam, Andy acquired his pilot’s license, driven by a deep passion for flying. His skill and dedication led him to quickly advance to twin-engine certification. Andy found great joy in sharing the skies with those he loved—often flying his family and friends to various destinations. One of his most meaningful acts of service was flying his pastor, ensuring that ministry could continue even across distant places. His time in the air wasn’t just about travel—it was an expression of freedom, connection, and purpose.
Andrew was always a hard worker, but that did not interfere with his kind and generous heart. He was always ready to lend a helping hand or help someone any way he could. His love for Christ was evident in his daily life. He believed in the promise of Heaven, and believed there was no greater reward than walking the streets of gold.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Edward and Pola Geneva Magnus Sr.; and brother, Stephen Magnus; and grand-daughter, Brianna
He is survived by his wife, Teresa B. Magnus; children, Amanda Shae Magnus, Andrew Edward Magnus III (Summer), Sheena Russell (Brian), Joanie Fulford (Jeff), Shane Magnus (Elizabeth); grandchildren: Beverly, Dustin, Bree, Elspeth, Owen, Rylee, Brian Connor, Jagur, Andrea, Brantley, Noah, Kaye, Cory, Alexis, Emily, Jacob, Rebekah; great-grandchildren: Trenton, Nova, Atlys, Luna, Crixus, Aza, Tilden, Easton, Avery, Beau, Harper, Eloisa; sister, Suzan Standridge; and many family and friends who loved him dearly.
