Andrew E. MURRAY

MURRAY, Andrew E. "Andy" Of Pocasset, formerly of Northborough and Holden, died peacefully July 9, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Andy was born on July 28, 1936 in Brighton, MA, the son of the late Andrew E. and Gertrude M. (O'Connor) Murray of Brighton. Andy is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sheila (Collins) (McQuade); his sister, Mary (Murray) McCourt, of Scituate; his brother, Robert Murray and his wife Christa of Key Largo, FL and Scituate. He was a devoted and loving father to his children, Mary (Murray) Kernan and her husband, Walter, of Woodbridge, CT, Dianne (Murray) Young and her husband, John, of Holden, MA, Andrew Murray, Jr. and his wife, Suzanne, of Shrewsbury, MA, Virginia (Murray) Massey and Thomas Paquette of Farmington, ME; his stepdaughter, Megan (McQuade) Hart and her husband, Tony, of Scarborough, ME; and his stepson, Matthew McQuade of Auburn. He was predeceased by his son, Matthew Murray. Andy has also left behind 16 grandchildren, whom he loved and adored. Along with six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. We would like to thank the staff at the Beth Israel Senior Behavioral Unit for their amazing care, support and expertise in assisting Andy. Also, the remarkable staff at the Newfield House in Plymouth for their exceptional care, love, kindness and support not only for Andy but for his family. All were truly "Angels" to us. We also thank the Cranberry Hospice. We are most grateful.
