Andrew S. Rancer Ph.D.

Dr. Rancer was my professor in my graduate program in Communication Studies at The University of Akron. He was a significant influence on me becoming a college professor. I wanted to emulate everything about him, especially his gregarious teaching style and ability to connect with his students. Not only was he an exceptional professor, but he was a prolific researcher in the discipline of Communication Studies. However, and most importantly, he was a wonderful human. I lost touch with him over the years, and it saddens me that I could never tell him of his influence on me in a myriad of ways. To both his wife and daughter, I am very sorry for your loss.
