Andrew Jack Tymocz

Andrew Jack Tymocz, 67, passed away on April 30, 2025.
Andrew was born on February 16, 1958 in NYC, in the middle of a snowstorm, with the help of a garbage truck as he loved to tell people. There was no way to get to the hospital, so his father hailed down a garbage truck, which was able to get through the streets to get his mother to the hospital.
He graduated from Regis High School, then went on to Hamilton College, finally getting both his undergraduate and his MBA from NYU. He married Helen (nee Wydzak) Tymocz on November 23, 1991 after a whirlwind 6 month romance, and is survived by her and their two children, John, aged 31 and Marianna, aged 28. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Tymocz and his wife Cathy of Clayton, North Carolina. He was predeceased by his parents, Josef and Stephanie (nee Bellack) Tymocz as well as his sister Lorraine.
He was active in the Ukrainian Community, both in Yonkers where he originally lived, then in Spring Valley of Rockland County. After retiring, he moved to Kodak, TN where he loved to say he was an ambassador for Dollywood, even though he hated roller coasters. They moved back to Middletown, NY in January of 2025 for healthcare reasons and to be closer to family and the community he loved.
Please join us in celebrating Andrews's life and legacy. Visitation will be held on Friday May 2 from 4 to 7 pm at the Joseph W. Sorce FH Pearl River, NY, with a Panahyda religious service at 6:30pm. Cremation will be private.
The family would like to extend an invitation to the repast, which will be held at Aqua Terre Grill at 420 Middletown Rd. in Pearl River at 7:30pm.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to either Saints Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church or to the Ukrainian Self-Culture Association.
