Andrew Wasik

Andrew Wasik, age 83, of Canton passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 22, 2013. He was born February 4, 1930 in Canton, Ohio to the late John and Joanna Wasik. Andrew served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from the Hoover Company after 47 years of service. Andrew was a life member of St. Anthony/ All Saints Parish. He loved gardening and listen to Polka music. Andrew was a generous and kind person and was loved by everyone who knew him. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Henry and Walter; sister, Stefania Brogan. Andrew is survived by his brothers, Joseph (Margaret), John, Anthony (Helen) and Stanley (Theresa); sister, Frances (William) Nau; brother-in-law, Paul Brogan and sister-in-law, Scottie Wasik and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 27, 2013 in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel from 4 to 6 pm and on Tuesday, May 28 from 9 to 9:30am in the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00am at St. Anthony/All Saints Parish 1530 11th St. SE Canton, Ohio 44707 with Rev. Fr. Thomas Dyer celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Anthony/ All Saints Parish.
