Andrew L. Wilson Sr., 87, of Baltimore, Maryland, peacefully gained his wings on April 1, 2022 in Midway, Georgia. Andrew was born on April 28, 1934 to Nancy Gordon (deceased) in Princess Anne County, Virginia. On August 14, 1950, he joined the United States Army. After completing his service, he became a Merchant Marine and traveled the world. As a young man, he became a member of Morning Star Lodge #003 F & AM in Portsmouth, Virginia. He moved to Baltimore, Maryland where he worked for the City of Baltimore and thrived as an entrepreneur until succumbing to medical conditions from his military service. Andrew changed careers and retired from the IRS in 1997. He wholeheartedly believed that he never met a stranger and touched the lives of many during his travels through life.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret E. Wilson, his son ANDREW L. Wilson, Jr., his grandson Kenneth Gregory, brothers Matthew Gordon and Clarence Gordon, and his sister Evelyn Gordon. Survivors are his sons, Rayford Jones, Sr. (Patricia Jones), Roderick Jones, Andre Jones (Erica Jones), and Lloyd Jones; his daughters Deborah Gregory, Beverly Wright (Shelton Wright), and Sharon Cummings (Deriech Cummings, I); his grandchildren Timothy Wilson, Rayford Jones, Jr., Gerard Jones, Damond Jones, Thomas Jones, Timothy, Bridgette Jones, Natalie Jones, Rachelle Jones, Marva Buckson, Daphne Fitzgerald, Whitney Fitzgerald, Amanda Fitzgerald, Lloyd Jones, Jr., Michael Jones, Hope Tucker, Faith Agee, Stephanie Hunt, Tiffany Sherod-Harris, Corey Wilson, Shannon Wright, Shelton Wright, Jr., D'Sean Cummings, Deriech Cummings, II., Kyreem Cummings, and Deron Cummings; and a host of nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
