Andrew David Woods, 21, of Foster Street, Princeton, was welcomed home to the loving arms of his Grandpa and Grandma Martin and to be with God on July 16, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. He was born October 9, 1987, in Princeton; he was the youngest son of Harold & Deborah Martin Woods of Princeton. He was a graduate of Pikeview High School, while their he played football and served as manager of the basketball team. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengalis football team all of his life. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Princeton where he played in the Praise Band. His life was short here on this earth but his smile touched everyone that he came in contact with. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clayton & Audrey Martin along with his paternal grandfather, George Woods and a cousin Tony Ruggerio. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Harold & Deborah Woods of Princeton, his paternal grandmother, Hattie Woods of Princeton, five brothers who were his heroes, Clayton & his wife Lisa of Hinton, Richard & his wife Maria of Princeton, Steven & his wife Vicki of Hollidaysburg, PA., Jonathan of Princeton and George & his wife Melissa of Savannah, GA. His nephews, Joshua, Jason, Matthew, Hunter and Porter, nieces, Bianca, Paeton and Kaitlen. Left to cherish his memory are his Aunts, Uncles and many cousins who loved spending time with him. He will also be missed by a special Uncle, Roger Bohon of Richmond, Va. On Monday, July 20, 2009 at 11:00 A.M., we will celebrate the life of Andrew David Woods from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Lyle Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Princeton. The family will have a time of gathering and sharing on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Family & friends may share online condolence via www.memorialfd.com Serving as pallbearers will be his five brothers, Clayton, Richard, Steven, Jonathan and George Woods and his cousins Christy Bennett and Zachariah Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be his cousins, James Cyphers, Rex Allen Cyphers, Kayla Poole, Rashia Martin, Audreyonna Martin, Montana Martin and Britten Martin. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested gifts to be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 841 Country Club Drive, Morgantown, WV 26505.
