Andria Love Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Highland Park Funeral Home and Crematory on Aug. 26, 2024.
Andria Odare Norman-Love was born on November 16, 1942 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the only child born to Albert Norman and Alease Morris Norman. She transitioned this life on August 18, 2024, at her home surrounded by love. Andria was preceded in death by her parents, maternal-grandparents Robert and Lottie Morris, Sister and brother in-law, Donna and Willie Cullars.
Andria was a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area. She received her education in the Kansas City, Kansas Public School system, graduating as a member of Sumner High School, Class of 1960. She continued her education attending Kansas City, Kansas Community College, receiving her Associate Degree in Business.
Andria loved the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. She accepted Christ at an early age while attending Trinity AME Church, Kansas City, KS. In her early adult years, she continued her fellowship as a member of First Baptist Church, Kansas City Kansas where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the Usher Board, the BTU and served as the Announcement Clerk. She later joined Friendship Baptist Church of Kansas City, Mo where she remained a member for the past 48 years. She served the church as a member of WMU, Lilly of the Valley Mission Circle and lastly as the Church Clerk. Andria continued in her faith and belief in God from home with online services, reading scriptures and spending time in prayer.
Andria was a person who was not afraid of hard work. She was employed with Missouri Division of Employment Services. She served in many positions working her way up to the title of Administrator. She retired after 31 years of service.
Onnie as family members called her, loved and lived life to the fullest. The only thing she loved more was spending time with family and friends, especially the little ones. They always bought out that beautiful smile of hers. She was a push over for them. Onnie, was a fashion diva with a hat collection to match. Andria loved volunteering alongside her sister Donna with AARP and other organizations. She was an avid reader. Whatever spare time she had left, you'd find her with a book in hand especially her bible.
Andria leaves to cherish her memory: Niece, Genenate (Troy) Freeman and great-niece Tinsley Freeman - Lithonia, GA; Niece, Shyeasta Cullars- Athens, Ga; Sister, Linda Kidd; Niece Bri'onna Kidd and 4 great-nephews Ja'Laveyn, Jae'Breyn, Jai'Den and Cori'Awn, of Topeka Kansas. Aunt, Glenda Alexander - Kansas City, Ks; along with a host of cousins, other relatives, friends, classmates and neighbors.
Graveside service on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 10am at Highland Park Cemetery.
